Thank You For Ruling us

6 photographs, 149 x 105 cm (inkjet print on paper and dibond panel)

Large prints showing blurry and indistinct silhouettes refer to the broad mass of low-income employees, as well as to the unconscious and even obsessive fear that the aspirational and governing classes have of such people. Since the financial crisis of 2008, these damaged and fatigued bodies have been starting to get out of control. The instruments of domination of the last three decades are starting to no longer function and these at one time subjugated and tamed social classes are beginning to demonstrate their dissatisfaction. We have entered a period of apprehension, paranoia and a compulsive need to humiliate and dehumanise.
